Our School Trips

Residential Trips:

Below is a list of the school residential trips we currently run with a brief outline of the activities and roughly when it takes place in the school year (firm dates will be published on the school calendar). A named organiser is also given – should you wish to find out more please contact that person for more information. Costs are approximate and will be confirmed accurately nearer the time of each trip, along with information regarding securing a place.

Harry Potter Experience

Where? Watford, London.

Who and when? Year 5 – Summer half term 1 – 3 days (2 nights).

What?  Visit to Warner Bros Studios Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter, and surrounding activities

Where?  Dukeshouse Wood, Hexham, Northumberland.

Who and when? Year 6 Summer half term 2 – 3 days (2 nights).

What? Outdoor and adventurous! From zip lines to campfires!

Ski Venture – France

Where? Alpe d’Huez, French Alps.

Who and when? Year 7 Spring half term 1 – 7 days.

What? Skiing and après ski!

Where? YMCA Lakeside, Windermere.

Who and when? Year 7 Summer half term 1 – 3 days (2 nights)

What? Outdoor fun filled challenges, from kayaking to climbing.

French Battlefields:

Where? Somme (France) & Ypres (Belgium).

Who and when? Year 8 Autumn half term 1 – 5 days (4 nights)

What? Visits to the Ypres and Somme battlefields (& associated museums), French markets, the Nausicaa aquariium, a chocolaterie and a boulangerie.This trip will complement Year 8 WW1 history projects and will provide an opportunity for the pupils to practice their French skills.

Where? Island of Arran off the West Coast of Scotland.

Who and when? Year 8 Summer half term 2 – 7 days

What? A trip involving a range of enjoyable and challenging outdoor pursuits backed up by fun filled and informative river and coastline studies.
