The new building opened in September 2004 and we now enjoy the facilities offered by a purpose built school. The building provides us with a large library, two computer suites, two science laboratories, space for music, drama and PE, in addition to a hall large enough for the whole school family to gather together. Each year group of four classes is accommodated in adjoining classrooms, together with access to cloakroom and toilet facilities. Our classrooms are equipped with computers and interactive whiteboards and every child has personal storage space for his / her bag and belongings.
There are excellent playing fields in front of the school and separate playground spaces for older and younger pupils. Floodlit courts enable sporting activities to continue after school even in the winter months. Gosforth Swimming Pool is nearby and currently our 5th year pupils have swimming lessons as part of their physical education.
GCMS is easily accessible by bus and Metro. Regent Centre Metro Station is immediately opposite the school; pupils travelling by Metro use the subway, which leads from the Regent Centre interchange to the school.
